What the course is about
This course provides care staff who support individuals with Epilepsy with an understanding of the condition, how to care for someone who is having a seizure, as well as when to call for help. In addition, learners will be given instruction on how to administer rescue medication in the form of Buccal Midazolam.
The cost for this course is £100 + VAT per person.
What is covered?
By attending this course you will be able to recognise and describe common seizure types; be able to understand common causes of epilepsy and triggers of seizures; how to manage a seizure; how to record nd the importance of an epilepsy care plan; be able to describe the procedure for giving buccal/nasal midazolam and have an understanding of when rescue medication may be required and it’s benefits.
